There are basic deliverables that are always present in the output from this service. This foundation can be seen below:
Additional deliverables may be added to the output, based on the findings of the specific analysis.
The analysis of best practice implementation, or Fourdham analysis, as it applies to the performance, maintainability and overall cost contribution of an application or process can be divided into several categories of evaluation. These categories can loosely be classified as those practices that pertain to the setup and definition of the data structure and DBMS implementation, those that stem from coding or physical process components and those that are broad-reaching and strategic in nature. SIL performs Fourdham Analyses on systems that fall into two main categories: vendor COTS products that need to validate or improve their scaling thresholds and deployed applications that need to successfully increase their ability to handle workload. These systems exist in either IT or in more physical domains, such as manufacturing and distribution.
This type of analysis is done at the detailed level, and results in a list of best practice compliance analyses, with each of the violations on that list ranked by impact. Where the impact is small, these violations can be ignored. However, where the impact is significant SIL will propose alleviation strategies. Those strategies are also ranked by cost, in terms of both time and money.
This analysis has assisted hundreds of organizations and vendors to improve the longevity of their processes and applications, across many industries and geographies. In throughput and performance alone, SIL has seen these customers realize from 18.5-842% improvement, with reasonable time frames and personnel time investments.
