SIL's Global Security Watch (GSW) was started in 1983 with 15 organizations. The growth has been exponential, and now encompasses millions of organizations worldwide. The purpose of the GSW has been to provide well supported threat intel for its member organizations, rather than threat detection. While there are several forms of GSW subscriptions, all provide both threat intel and actionable steps and guidelines for its members. SIL's philosophy is that analysis is hobbled without the articulation of components of success and failure. In the security arena, that translates to changes in protocols that have been successful in countering threats, critical components for social engineering and other specifics.
