Historical Data Integrity

Historical Data Integrity Mapping consists of two parts. The first part is the mapping of old data elements to current data structures, for purposes of data continuity and recoverability. This is especially important as new application versions and functionality is implemented, or when application replacement occurs. Any merger, divestiture or organizational consolidation would also mandate this process. The second portion of this service provides the opposite perspective to the first, and defines how to retrieve historical information through the current information filter. A data integrity summary highlights where data elements have become irretrievable or substantially have altered form. This service is only available for data storage structures that maintain internal element definition and association, such as databases.
